GREENHOUSE HOBBLES
BUTTERFLIES & ORCHIDS
WITH A CANE IN PHIPPS CONSERVATORY
JUST BEFORE THE WEDDING JULY 11, 2009
PAGE THREE:

I hadn't been in either the orchid or the butterfly rooms the evening before and as I had time before the wedding, I made
a complete circuit of the complex again, adding the rooms I'd missed earlier. My leg was already aching before I started
as a result from yesterday's PT and large walkabout, and I had my purse heavily weighted with a water bottle, book, etc.
in addition to carrying my cane. It is also very hot and humid in here, especially the orchid room, which didn't help matters
any...but still...I had my camera and was on the loose!

This is the room that connects the orchid room to the butterfly room.

There weren't all that many different varieties of butterflies right now and I was trying to balance the cane, the purse,
and not put too much weight on my left leg while attempting to catch a few holding relatively still...

More anthuriums for a bit of real color...

Glass anthuriums?

Carl found me and we headed together back through the new tropical forest section as it was getting close to wedding time.

Turns out that big new square part acts as a nursery for Phipps and isn't open to visitors.

The wind was blowing quite a bit and bride Melissa had a constant battle with her veil. Good thing it was only one
layer and short.
