WISTERIA:

Below is the giant wisteria at the Ashikaga Flower Show in Japan. Note the people just beyond for size comparison.

Above and below is the white wisteria at Sissinghurst Gardens in the UK.

Because I had a smaller space and wished to have a wisteria that only grew about 30 feet, I opted for a special variety with short, fat blooms and

planted it on one side of the garden tunnel I was making. It mixed in with Josephine clematis and a huge musk rose like this. After we moved in 2008
